Overview

This policy covers businesskaraoke.designthinkingjapan.com, the Business Karaoke Podcast website, operated by Design Thinking Japan LLC (DTJ), Tokyo, Japan. It explains what data we collect when you visit or subscribe, and how we handle it.

What we collect

• Subscriber email — if you sign up to hear when a new episode lands, we store your email address to deliver those notifications.
• Technical data — standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) retained by our cloud hosting provider.

How we use it

• To notify you when a new episode is published
• To monitor site performance and diagnose technical issues
• We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.

Third-party services

We use the following categories of third-party service providers. Each receives only the minimum data necessary to perform its function:

• Cloud hosting — site infrastructure and server logs.
• Database provider — stores subscriber email addresses, encrypted at rest.
• Podcast host — serves the audio you listen to and provides the RSS feed. If you listen on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or Amazon Music, their respective privacy policies also apply.

We do not use third-party advertising networks, behavioural analytics, or data brokers.

Cookies

This site uses no tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies. The only browser storage we use is technically necessary to load the site.

Data retention

Subscriber email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider per their standard retention windows.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by reaching out through DTJ’s Connect terminal. Residents of the EU (GDPR) and Japan (APPI) have specific statutory rights — we will honour those requests within 30 days.
